Our Terms Explained
Terms of Service
Effective Date: April 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Heartland Pro Handyman (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By approving an estimate or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
Services & Pricing Model
We provide handyman and home improvement services based on a flat-fee pricing model.
Each project is quoted as a fixed price based on:
- The specific scope of work
- Visible conditions at the time of estimate
- Expected time, materials, and complexity
Flat-rate pricing is designed to provide clarity and simplicity for our customers.
Scope of Work
Your quoted price includes only the work specifically listed in your estimate.
Any work not explicitly listed is not included in the price.
Change Orders (Additional Work)
We welcome additional requests, including “while you’re here” items and upgrades.
However:
- Any work outside the original scope requires approval
- Additional work will be priced separately (flat fee or agreed rate)
- Work will not proceed without your authorization
This protects both you and us from misunderstandings.
Unforeseen Conditions
Estimates are based on visible and known conditions.
If we encounter hidden issues (e.g., water damage, structural problems, code issues), we will:
- Pause work if necessary
- Explain the issue
- Provide options and updated pricing
Additional work required due to unforeseen conditions is not included in the original estimate.
Customer Responsibilities
To ensure efficient service, you agree to:
- Provide clear and safe access to work areas
- Ensure necessary utilities are available (electricity, water, etc.)
- Secure pets and personal belongings
Delays caused by access or site conditions may affect scheduling or pricing.
Payment Terms
Payment terms will be outlined in your estimate or invoice.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Payment is due upon completion of work
- Larger projects may require a deposit
We reserve the right to pause or delay work if payment terms are not met.
Scheduling & Time Expectations
We strive to complete work efficiently, but timelines may vary due to:
- Project complexity
- Change orders
- Material availability
- Unforeseen conditions
We will communicate clearly if timelines change.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
We request reasonable notice for cancellations or schedule changes.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a service fee.
Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing issues or damage
- Hidden conditions not visible at the time of estimate
- Work performed outside the agreed scope
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.
No Guarantees on Upgrades or Customer-Supplied Materials
If you request upgrades, add-ons, or provide your own materials:
- We are not responsible for defects in customer-supplied materials
- Compatibility or performance cannot be guaranteed
Acceptance of Terms
Approval of an estimate, quote, or invoice constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Service.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
