4. Repair or installation Work done cleanly, components tested as we go. For opener installation we program remotes, keypads, and app connections before we leave — you shouldn’t have to figure that out yourself.

5. Full system test Multiple open and close cycles, sensor obstruction test, auto-reverse check, remote and keypad confirmation. We don’t call it done until everything works the way it should.

My door opens but won’t close — the light is blinking. What does that mean? Blinking lights on the opener motor usually indicate a sensor issue. The safety sensors at the bottom of the door tracks are misaligned or blocked. Sometimes it’s as simple as wiping a dusty lens or bending the sensor bracket back into position. We fix this regularly.

Can you install a smart opener that works with my phone? Yes — brands like Chamberlain MyQ, LiftMaster, and Genie Aladdin Connect all offer WiFi-enabled openers we can install and configure. We’ll set up the app connection before we leave so you’re not troubleshooting it yourself.

My opener is 15+ years old — should I repair or replace it? At 15 years, if the logic board or motor is failing, replacement usually makes more financial sense than repair — parts are harder to source and a new opener comes with a warranty. If it’s a sensor or remote issue, repair is fine regardless of age. We’ll give you an honest assessment on arrival.

Can you replace just one damaged panel instead of the whole door? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Panel replacement works if the panel is still available from the manufacturer and the door frame is otherwise sound. If the door is discontinued or heavily damaged, full replacement is the cleaner solution. We’ll check panel availability before recommending either direction.
